Peptide vendor red flags: a 10-point checklist
Published October 26, 2026. General buyer guidance, not medical or legal advice.
30-second answer: the biggest red flags are no batch-level lab report, a report you cannot verify, and promises about what a product does. Run the list below on any vendor, including the one you like.
The checklist
- No lab report for the batch you are buying.
- A report with no lab name, or one you cannot confirm on the lab's own page.
- Batch number missing from the report, so it cannot be matched to your package.
- Medical or results claims. A seller selling for research should not promise outcomes.
- Prices far below everyone else. Cheap can mean corners were cut.
- No clear company identity or contact method.
- Vague shipping and return terms.
- Fake urgency, such as countdown timers that reset.
- Only paid or anonymous reviews as proof.
- Pressure to pay a way you cannot dispute with no explanation of terms.
How to use it
Score one point per item that is clean. Fewer than 7 clean items means slow down. The vendor quiz does this in 60 seconds.
Then do the one check most people skip: match the batch number to the report, see how to read a COA. My own look at this vendor is in Is Growth Guys legit?

Common questions
What is the biggest red flag?
No batch-level lab report you can verify on the lab's own page.
Is a low price a red flag?
It can be. Prices far below the market deserve extra scrutiny of the testing.
Does a fast checklist replace testing?
No. It filters out poor vendors, but only testing your own sample verifies your vial.
