Health Canada: a research-use-only label does not make it legal
Published October 26, 2026. News from April 9, 2026, from Health Canada's public advisory, cited below. This site sells nothing and gives no medical advice.
Quick take: Health Canada told Canadians not to buy or use unauthorized injectable peptides, and said products labelled "For Research Use Only" are not made legal by that label.
What the advisory says
- Do not buy or use unauthorized injectable peptide drugs.
- Authorized prescription drugs carry an eight-digit Drug Identification Number (DIN). You can look one up in Health Canada's Drug Product Database.
- If you used one and feel unwell, contact a physician, nurse practitioner or pharmacist.
- Report side effects through MedEffect Canada.
Products named as examples
BPC-157, CJC-1295, DSIP, Epitalon, GHK-Cu, HCG, Ipamorelin, KPV, Melanotan I and II, MOTS-C, NAD+, SS-31, TB-500 and Retatrutide. Health Canada notes that many others exist.

| Product quality | Wrong amount of active ingredient, unlisted ingredients, contaminants, poor labelling or storage |
